PPT vs. PPS vs. PPTX vs. PPSX

Extensions The default file extension for saving presentations in PowerPoint 2003 and earlier versions. The default file extension for saving presentations in PowerPoint 2007 and later versions. So, in Rename, we can see it's easy to convert .ppt to .pps or .pptx to .ppsx. Enabling to rename the extensions give us a big hand.

Converting .pps to ppt or .ppsx to .pptx is also not much complex.
  • Open Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Select File from the top menu bar if you are using PowerPoint 2010. Select the Microsoft Office button if you are using PowerPoint 2007.
  • Choose Open from the menu. Locate the .pps file or .ppsx on your system. Select the file and click the Open file.
  • Click File or Microsoft Office on the top menu bar. Choose Save As from the list of options.
  • Rename the PowerPoint file if you want. Navigate your folder system to where you want the file saved. Change the Save as type to PowerPoint Template. Click Save.
Edit pps or ppsx

If you want to edit a PPS or PPSX file without changing the extension, take either of these tips:
1. In Windows Explorer, drag and drop the PPS or PPSX file into an empty PowerPoint window.
2. Launch PowerPoint and open a PPS or PPSX using the File/Office button or the Open option to edit a presentation.

Set Video as Video Background in All Slides in PowerPoint

If you are tired of the invariable powerpoint backgrounds, why not trying video powerpoint background to make your presentation lively?

The steps below will tell you how to set a video as powerpoint background and play through all the slides.
Also, you can set it on only one special slide. Just start from Step 2.

Step 1: Click View - Slide Master

Step 2: Click Insert - Video - Video from File...
Step 3:  Insert and set the video.
Browse to the video clip to insert and double-click the name of the file. After a few moments, a black rectangle appears on the slide, symbolizing the video. Click the small white box in the middle of the top edge of the black rectangle and drag it up to the top edge of the white slide. Repeat to drag the small white box in the middle of the bottom edge down toward the bottom edge of the white slide, so that the rectangle takes up the entire slide background.
Step 4: Click Video Tools - choose Send to Back in Send Backward.

Step 5: Click Playback and set Start to Automatically.

Step 6: Check Loop until Stopped.

Step 7: Check Rewind after Playing.

Step 8: Add text and set animations. Don't forget to set Animations to Start With Previous.

How to View PowerPoint on Slimmest 10 Inch Tablet - Archos G10 XS

What's the slimmest tablet in the world? Maybe you will answer, Toshiba AT200, only 7.7mm.

But now, the slimmer 10 inch tablet will be born - Archos G10 XS. It will be a mere 7.6mm thick, just 0.1mm thinner than Toshiba AT200.

Perhaps, you are unfamilier with Archos's tablets, but you must know Archos's media player very mush. It was established in 1988 by Henri Crohas. So far, Archos has brought lots of portable media players and data storage devices for us. Actually, Archos had released its tablets before. unfortunately, none of them has really taken off. Yet, that record isn't dissuading the company from trying again.

So now, in a few months, Archos will come back with its new tablet - G10 XS.

G10 XS runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It will be a keyboard dock that will make the tablet-keyboard combination look very much like the Asus Eee Pad Slider. Even with the keyboard dock attached the tablet will still only be 12mm thick. Pricing for the G10 XS is estimated to be around 199€ or $260 USD.

7 and 8 inch variants will also become available that will reportedly have the same 7.6 waistline and should be a available for 129€ and 149€ respectively.

Except the above data, there is currently no official word on availability. Even we don't know other more details about this thin tablet, we can also find a good way to view powerpoint on Archos G10 XS, an android tablet, like Asus Transformer Prime.
